Munich Reinsurance America Appoints Kuchma Chief Operations Officer of the Reinsurance Division

Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. (Munich Re) has appointed Anita Kuchma as Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the Reinsurance Division. Kuchma will report directly to Steve Levy, President and CEO of Reinsurance Division, Munich Reinsurance America, Inc., and will be a member of the Reinsurance Division’s Executive Leadership Team.

Her strong track record in both financial management and underwriting gives her a unique perspective that will help guide our organization as we continue to seek ways to help our clients protect against new and evolving risks.”

Since joining Munich Re, Kuchma has held various multi-line underwriting positions including several management positions in which she was responsible for the underwriting and management of large portfolios of business. In the past, she has also served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Head of Planning and Controlling responsible for leading the planning, forecasting, budget, and financial analysis units. In 2019, she joined the Reinsurance Division to lead the Professional Liability and Cyber team.

Kuchma holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and an MBA in Finance, both from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
