Craig Smiddy, President of Specialty Markets Division of Munich Reinsurance America, Inc., to resign position

Princeton, New Jersey, 3 April 2013 – Tony Kuczinski, President of Munich Reinsurance America, announced that Specialty Markets Division President Craig Smiddy will resign his position.

Craig Smiddy worked for Munich Re for 15 years, the last 5 of which he served as President of Specialty Markets. “After achieving these personal milestones with Munich Re, I came to the difficult decision that my future career aspirations will best be realized by spending the next 15 years of my career working in another capacity,” said Smiddy.

No successor has yet been named, however Smiddy will work with Munich Re America management over the coming months to transition his responsibilities.

“I have worked with Craig for many years and he has always been a hard working, focused and effective leader. I consider him not only a colleague, but a friend and I wish him well in whatever future endeavor he undertakes,” said Kuczinski.
