Ms. Naveed began her career as a data scientist and has since built an area of practice developing and deploying innovative machine learning models to support point of sale life insurance underwriting. She is a frequent speaker at conferences focused on both the insurance industry and data science, including PyData, Society of Actuaries (SOA) Annual Meeting, Life & Annuities Symposium, and SOA UW Innovations Summit. Ms. Naveed has also facilitated data science workshops internationally at the National Bank of Portugal and Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.

My aim is to use data to expand insurability. The industry must incorporate new data sources as medical knowledge evolves to keep up with modern consumer expectations.
