Lauren Tredinnick
Head of Public Entity National Accounts and Property

Lauren began her career with Munich  Re as a Risk Analyst as part of the Graduate Trainee Program in 2008 before joining the Public Entity Risk Solutions (PERS) underwriting team. With a BBA from Wisconsin School of Business in Actuarial Science and Risk Management and Insurance, she went on to obtain her MBA at DePaul University and CPCU designation. In her “free time,” Lauren is a Sergeant First Class and Platoon Leader for the 132D Army Band of the WI National Guard. As a member of several ensembles, Lauren plays the saxophone and is the emcee for performances.

David Pesce
Head of Surety  
Munich Re Specialty

David is Head of Surety for Munich Re Specialty. Throughout his 36 years of industry experience, David held various underwriting and operations positions with a number of major surety carriers. Previously, he led the expansion of a specialty insurance company’s surety operations prior to its acquisition by another carrier.  

David holds the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) designation and is an officer on the CFMA Certification Board, in addition to memberships in numerous professional organizations.  

He is a frequent speaker on timely surety topics. David earned   B.S. in Mathematics from Lafayette College. In his spare time, he likes to golf, snowboard, and ski.

Rachael Dougherty

Based in Munich Re Specialty’s San Francisco, CA office, Rachael has ten years of experience in the insurance industry with eight years as a property underwriter.  She has a particular interest in learning about regional wildfire risks and their associated mitigation practices and technologies. Rachael obtained her B.A. in English from Temple University.

Kevin Johnson is President of North American Programs for Munich Re Specialty, a specialty commercial insurance unit of Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. (Munich Re US) in North America. In this role, he is responsible for the new programs development, in-force management, profitability and growth of the $1B GWP+ Program Business underwriting portfolio.  

Nick Mycyk
Underwriting Manager, Senior Vice President, E&S Financial Lines Lawyers and Accountants Professional Liability
Munich Re Specialty – North America

Nick Mycyk leads the teams underwriting professional liability for lawyers and accountants within Munch Re Specialty – North America’s E&S Financial Lines department. He has more than 11 years of experience as underwriter and joined Munch Re Specialty – North America in 2020. Based in the Chicago office, he helped launch the lawyers and accountants professional liability products for the company.

He graduated from the University of Illinois with a double major in Atmospheric Sciences and Economics. He is an avid baseball fan and has visited nearly every active Major League Baseball stadium.

Lennox Marshall
Primary Construction Project Lead, Senior Vice President, E&S Primary Casualty Construction

Lennox Marshall is the key contact for primary construction risks in the excess and surplus division of Munich Re Specialty – North America. He has nearly 20 years of experience as an underwriter and joined Munich Re Specialty – North America in 2020. Based in the Chicago office, he works with brokers to find the right products and solutions for contractors, with an emphasis on project-specific policies.

He graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in Finance and Risk Management where he was also a member of the men’s basketball team. He started his career with The Harford before working for Ace Westchester, and Crum & Forster. In his free time, he is a skilled poker player who has qualified for the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.  

Maria Long
Vice President, Cyber Underwriter & Risk Management Portfolio Leader
Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets

Maria is a Vice President, Cyber Underwriter and Risk Management Portfolio leader for Munich Re Specialty. Throughout her 17 years of experience in the insurance industry, she has held various positions within Personal, Commercial, and Specialty lines, including 8 years focused on cyber risk management. Currently she holds a dual role as an underwriter specializing in Cyber and Technology Errors & Omissions insurance as well as a risk management portfolio leader.
