We had the exciting opportunity to host the ‘Covid-19 vaccines as a precious cargo’ seminar at Munich Re in May. What took place was a deep dive into the current status of the logistic ecosystem for marine cargo during Covid-19 and a look at future opportunities for marine underwriters. In particular, there was a focus on addressing the lack of transparency and traceability within the industry as well as solutions for optimizing end-to-end coordination between the stakeholders.
A distinguished panel of speakers took part in this wide ranging discussion and provided significant knowledgeable contributions.
We were honoured to welcome:
The biggest takeaway from the event was the call for building a better united logistics ecosystem for underwriters that takes advantage of new digitized products and services that bring much needed technological solutions to marine insurers – solutions that ultimately reduce risks and make them competitive for the future.
We, at Munich Re, are pleased to be able to host an event like ‘Covid-19 as a precious cargo’ and we are dedicated to playing an active role in developing digital marine insurance solutions.
