Biography

Christine Stephenson joined HSB UK and Ireland in December 2020 and was appointed to Chief Financial Officer in 2024, responsible for the financial and capital management of the organisation.

From 2020 to 2024, Christine held the role of Financial Controller, responsible for the day-to-day running of the Finance function, and then Director of Finance following the acquisition of MD Group.

Christine is a Chartered Accountant, with 20 years' experience in financial management, audit, and accounting in the financial services industry.

Prior to joining HSB, Christine spent 10 years at Royal London Mutual Insurance Society where she held various roles in the Finance team. Prior to this, Christine spent six years at professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, specialising in financial services audit.

Christine graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2004 with a 2:1 in Accounting and Financial Management and Information Management, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2007.
