Recovery guidance for traumatic workplace incidents

Work-related crisis incidents are on the rise. When someone threatens or commits physical violence with a weapon at a workplace, during a company event, or directed at an employee due to their relationship with the company, those incidents can have lasting and devastating effects on the people and the company. That’s when HSB Crisis Care is needed.

    Crisis Care from HSB

When a crisis incident occurs, businesses may need to temporarily close their offices or plants, lose revenue, and suffer higher turnover and lower morale. But with HSB Crisis Care, those businesses and the people involved can access the resources they need to recover and heal, helping to alleviate the adverse effects of the crisis.

    Covered incidents

Work-related incidents covered under Crisis Care include any (1) act or threat of physical violence involving a weapon (including nonfunctional copies of weapons or items that are facsimiles of weapons) in the workplace and (2) workplace homicide that may or may not involve a weapon. Work-related incidents are also covered when employees are off premises during regular job duties, at company special events, and anywhere in the coverage territory in which an employee is targeted due to their relationship with the company.
