Lorraine Morhardt

Lorraine Morhardt is Senior Vice President and HSB Chief Claims Officer. 

Ms. Morhardt, in her more than 25-year career at HSB, has held positions in Corporate Finance, the Treaty Division, and Claims. She joined HSB in 1998 as an auditor and moved on to hold multiple positions, including Corporate Financial Analyst. In 2005, she took on the role of Client Operations Manager, a client-facing role in the Treaty Division. During this time, she made significant contributions to enhancing client integration tools and processes. 

With a strong track record of delivering results, she joined Claims in 2013 and was appointed as the Vice President of Claims Customer Account Management shortly thereafter. She built strong relationships with internal business partners and advanced Key Account customer relationships, and participated in a number of initiatives, most notably the HSB Claims Portal and the digital integration (API) of HSB’s Claim Center. 

In 2018, Ms. Morhardt joined the Commercial Equipment Breakdown Claims Unit as Vice President of the Western Division. In 2021, she became Senior Vice President of the Specialty Claims Unit. Under her leadership, the unit evolved into a best-in-class cyber and liability claims management operation.

Ms. Morhardt began her career at Deloitte & Touche LLC in 1995, where she held auditing positions.

She graduated from The University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Science & Arts in Accounting and a Master of Business.
