Jean Cohn

Jean Cohn is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. She heads HSB’s Law Department.

Ms. Cohn joined HSB in 1988 as an attorney. In 2002 she became Vice President, Human Resources and General Counsel of the company’s subsidiary The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company of Connecticut. She returned to HSB’s Law Department in 2017 as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel when the Global Inspection and Engineering Services Division was formed. In 2020 she took on managing the Law Department and assumed her present position in late June 2022.

Ms. Cohn is a member of the Board of Directors of HSB and HSB Group, Inc. (the parent company of HSB).

Ms. Cohn holds a Bachelor’s degree from Smith College and a Law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. She is a member of the American Bar Association.
