Munich Re rated as a 5-Star Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Employer for 2023 by Insurance Business UK

An Insurance Business UK report has rated Munich Re as a leading DEI employer in insurance.

The report underlines Munich Re’s commitment to embedding DEI principles by continuing to create an environment where everyone feels safe, welcome and valued. Earlier in 2023, Munich Re published an updated DEI Strategy which is based on three key pillars. Our goal is to attract workforce diversity, grow equity in the workplace through sponsorship and inspire an inclusive culture.

The report findings

Insurance Business UK undertook a 15-week process, and their team conducted one-on-one interviews with DEI professionals to gain a keen understanding of the industry standards for DEI and find out which companies had met or exceeded those expectations.

In their analysis, they asked employees of each shortlisted company questions on how committed they feel their organisation is to DEI. Other question topics included whether they feel their organisation is making progress and whether they believe their employers are bringing their colleagues along with them on their journey. Across the question set, Munich Re employees rated their experience at 4.55 out of 5.
