Kevin Johnson is President of North American Programs for Munich Re Specialty – North America, a specialty commercial insurance unit of Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. (Munich Re US). In this role, he is responsible for the new programs development, in-force management, profitability and growth of the $1B GWP+ Program Business underwriting portfolio. 

During his time with Munich Re Specialty – North America, Kevin has held roles in underwriting directly overseeing program business, and has also led sourcing and onboarding activities for new program opportunities. He also served as Chief of Staff to the CEO, with responsibilities that included leading and participating in strategy projects on behalf of the Office of the CEO, as well as facilitating the development, monitoring and implementation of initiatives from the CEO and the company’s strategic roadmap. Kevin began his career as part of the company’s underwriting trainee program in 2009.  

Kevin graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Temple University where he majored in Risk Management and Insurance, as well as Finance. He also has an MBA from Saint Joseph’s University and has completed the CPCU, ARM and ARe designations. Kevin and his wife Nicole have two sons and reside in Bryn Mawr, PA.
