Munich Re Group ranks 5th on German Diversity Index

Munich Re Group has secured 5th (16th in 2022) position on the German Diversity Index by the organization Beyond Gender Agenda. The significant improvement of 11 places, i.e. the placement among the top 5 largest German stock corporations, reflects our commitment and efforts in the fields of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion across the entire Group over the past year. The index covers, analyses and evaluates all 40 companies on the DAX40 using only publicly available information.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is a business imperative for Munich Re and part of our multi-year business strategy. The score highlights our achievements across all diversity dimensions including gender, generations, LGBTQIA+, disability, and ethnicity and demonstrates our commitment to measuring progress and aligning with our vision on DEI.
We are proud to note that our performance in the dimensions of gender, age and nationality has surpassed industry averages. This speaks to our success in fostering an environment that values a spectrum of generational insights and embraces diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
Reaching a 5% disability quota group-wide is another achievement, underscoring our commitment to equal opportunities.
