For the 16th year in a row, Munich Re has qualified for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World/Europe in the rating conducted by RobecoSAM, thus maintaining its position in the renowned sustainability index’s investment universe. Munich Re thus once again makes the top ten of the world’s biggest 115 insurance companies.
The rating evaluates environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria in corporate sustainability approaches and performance. This year, the rating considered aspects such as “Political Influence”, “Impact Measurement & Valuation” and “Information Security & Cybersecurity” for the first time.
We view our uninterrupted presence in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices since 2000 and accolades from numerous other sustainability indices such as oekom’s Prime Status, the FTSE4Good and the STOXX® Global ESG Leaders Index as recognition of our consistent Group-wide actions in implementing our responsible business approach.
