Corporate responsibility portal: Update 2016/17

Acting in a responsible manner while at the same creating added value for the Group and for society is Munich Re’s guiding principle. On our updated corporate responsibility portal, we show how we are living up to this claim.

As part of our business activity, we want to combine economic and social progress. We have thus identified three strategies of particular importance for us as a corporate entity, for our clients and for society at large:
 

• Mitigating the effects of climate change
• Improving access to healthcare
• Enhancing risk awareness

On the updated Group-wide corporate responsibility portal we set out how we are living up to our responsibilities and the progress we are making in doing so. The portal also serves as our Communication on Progress to the UN Global Compact (UNGC). It also contains reports on our voluntary commitments to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI).
