Nicholas Gartside was born in Warrington, United Kingdom, in 1975.
He graduated in 1996 with a B.A. in History and Politics from Durham University and in 1997 with a M.Phil in International Relations from Cambridge University.
Mr. Gartside commenced his professional career as a fund manager, Fixed Income, with Mercury Asset Management in London. In 2002, he continued his career as a fund manager with Schroder Investment Management in London, where he was initially responsible for European Bonds and Global Bonds, before taking on the position of Head of Global Fixed Income in August 2008. In 2010, Mr. Gartside moved to J. P. Morgan Asset Management, London, as International Chief Investment Officer, Global Fixed Income Currencies and Commodities.
Mr. Gartside has been a member of the Board of Management and Chief Investment Officer of Munich Reinsurance Company since 18 March 2019. He is responsible for Group Investments and Third Party Asset Management
