Curriculum vitae

Stefan Golling  was born in Augsburg in 1976.  

He completed his studies in mathematics at the University of Augsburg in 2001 with a diploma examination.  

Mr. Golling joined Munich Reinsurance Company in December 2001. He began his career as a Mathematics Consultant in the then business unit Asia/Australasia/Africa. In 2004, he moved to underwriting for Japan and Korea before becoming Head of the Property Underwriting Asia/Australasia Department in 2006. From 2009 to 2014, Mr. Golling was General Manager Non-Life at Munich Re’s subsidiary Munich Holdings of Australasia in Sydney. After returning to Munich in 2015, Mr. Golling took over the role of Chief Underwriter and headed the Corporate Underwriting Central Division.

With effect from 1 January 2021, Mr. Golling has been appointed a member of Munich Reinsurance Company’s Board of Management, with taking responsibility for Global Clients and North America.  Since 1 January 2023, Mr. Golling has also been responsible for Capital Partners.
