Falsified motor insurance certificates, allegedly issued by Great Lakes and typically offering short term coverage, are circulating within the Italian market. Such documents are forgeries and the relevant legal and regulatory authorities in Italy and the UK have been notified accordingly. Great Lakes operates in the Italian motor market only by way of coinsurance, and not in its own right.
