Munich Re in Fair Company Initiative
The Fair Company Initiative was launched by the German magazine Junge Karriere in 2004. Companies that subscribe to the initiative – like Munich Re – agree to offer internships at fair conditions and provide graduates with real opportunities.
Fair Companies...
- do not replace full-time jobs with interns, supposed volunteers, student employees, etc.;
- do not palm off university graduates that have applied for a full-time position with an internship;
- do not use the vague prospect of a full-time job in the future as a means to lure someone into an internship;
- offer internships primarily as a means of vocational orientation for people still in education;
- pay interns a fair wage.
